KTM 1390 Super Adventure R : KTM has launched its top adventure motorcycle, the 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R. Which features the new 1350cc V-twin engine that was first introduced in the Duke earlier this year. KTM has yet not announced the price for this model. But this bike will be one of the premium models from the Austrian brand and will compete with the BMW R 1300 GSA.
What’s new in the 2025 KTM 1390 Super Adventure R?
The main highlight is the engine. The 1350cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine produces an impressive 173bhp and 145Nm of torque.
For 2025, the KTM 1390 Super Adventure R comes with a completely new features,

- LED Lights
- Shorter windshield made for off-road riding
- Extra Storage Compartments
Also the frame has been made stiffer, which improves handling and stability on the track. The crash bar, has also been upgraded to provide better protection, with an additional arm added to the engine bracket.
KTM 1390 Super Adventure R – Automated Manual Transmission :
The Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) is one of KTM’s most innovative engine developments in recent years. The AMT allows the rider to choose between manual shifting operations in M Mode—without a clutch—or a completely automated transmission in A Mode. Once 1st gear is engaged, forward drive is initiated by raising the engine speed. At this point, the centrifugal clutch engages and sets the motorcycle in motion. In addition, it is impossible to stall the engine, which on its own is a massive benefit.
Unlike traditional motorcycle gearbox setups, the AMT features a P – N – 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 gear sequence. Where P denotes PARK. Which will prevent any unwanted rolling thanks to a locking pawl within the gearbox.
