Smart India Hackathon 2024: Tech Simp-2 Wins with Fake Social Media Detection (Photo X)
Pune: Smart India Hackathon 2024 won by Tech Simp-2 team. A group of third-year computer engineering students from G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM) won the first prize at the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2024. Their team, “Tech Simp-2,” was recognized for their creative solution to the problem of “Fake Social Media Account Detection.”
The team consist total six members. Team members are Satyam Yadav (Team Leader), Puru Sing, Rishabh Kukdeja, Pratiksha Pandey, Jyoti Pandey, and Dhruv Pal. They were awarded a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, along with medals and certificates. The success of the team was supported by the guidance of Dr. Siddhasen R. Patil and Prof. Apurva Pilay.
Dr. Simran Khiani and Dr. Swapnil Mahajan played very important role in the team’s success. Dr. Simran Khiani is the Head of the Computer Engineering Department. And Dr. Swapnil Mahajan, is the Head of the Innovation and Incubation Center.
Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, praised the students for their hard work. He is the Campus Director, GHRCEM Pune. He further highlighted how hackathons are great opportunities for creativity and new ideas.
“Hackathons motivate talented people to come up with real-world solutions. We aim to support development that helps everyone in society,” Dr. Kharadkar said. He further said that students needs to take part in similar competitions. So that students can boost their creativity and technical skills.
Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of Raisoni Education, and Shreysh Raisoni, Executive Director, congratulated Team Tech Simp-2 for their amazing achievement and said it will inspire future inventors.
