Pune Airport Set to Begin International Flights from New Terminal in 2025

Pune : Pune Airport will start using its new terminal for international flights in the new year. This news was announced by Union minister Murlidhar Mohol. This new terminal is already handling domestic flights, which is 60% of the airport’s operations. The rest, including international flights, are still at the old terminal. Earlier this year, this new terminal was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Currently, 19 flights are operating from the old terminal. This includes all 4 international flights. A fifth international flight to Bangkok will start on December 21. The airport handles 196 to 198 flights a day. From the January 2025 all flights will operate from the new terminal. This will give passengers better facilities and a more comfortable travel experience.

Facilities Enhanced for International Operations : Pune Airport

The new terminal has modern advanced facilities. Also security systems is upgraded for international flights.

Passengers flying to international destinations like Dubai, Singapore, and Bangkok will benefit the most from this change. Earlier, Pune had only one direct flights to international destinations i.e. Dubai. But now there are also direct flights to Singapore and Bangkok.

By January 2025, all international flights will depart from the new terminal. This is a big step in making the airport better for everyone.

Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Murlidhar Mohol

Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol said the government is working to improve airport services. The goal is to make things better for passengers.

He also said passengers can use DigiYatra to enter the new terminal. This will start from next month.

 “With immigration facilities moving, we also look forward to all international flights getting shifted to the new facility soon” he further added.
