Preeti Lobana Appointed as Google’s India Country Manager and VP

Google has appointed Preeti Lobana as the new country manager for India. She will be also vice president of Google’s India operations. She has replaced interim head Roma Datta Chobey. Google is giving the tough competition to its rival company Meta. As earlier Meta appointed a female country head for India.

Who is Preeti Lobana ?

Preeti Lobana, Google’s India new Country Manager and VP. From Nov 2021 she was working as vice president of Google’s publisher partner, ads content teams, and gTech. Before that, she served as Senior Director of Google’s Ads Customer Care. Before that, she served as Director of Google’s APAC Customer Experience. She has total 30+ years of experience, from last 9 years she is at Google.

India is a very big market for Google. Google revenue in India is increasing on year-on-year basis. This financial year Google’s revenue increased by 26 percent year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 5,921.1 crore. Which was Rs 4,700 crore the financial year 2023.

This increase in revenue was primarily from strong growth in digital advertising in India. Also net profit increased by 6 percet to Rs 1,424.9 crore in FY24 from Rs 1,342.5 crore in FY23.
