Lonavala Farmhouse and Stock Market Scam: Senior Citizen Scammed of ₹1.12 Crore
Pune, Lonavala Farmhouse and Stock Market Scam : A senior citizen from Karvenagar has said that three people cheated him out of ₹1.12 crore. They promised that they will help him to buy land for a farmhouse in Lonavala. Also they told him that he would make a lot of money from stock market investments.
The case has been registered at Koregaon Park Police Station against the three accused. The three accused are Nishun Radhesham Patel (39), Madhubala Radhesham Patel, and Vivek Anand Devan Shenoy (69). Nishun and Madhubala, both are from Gurudatt Avenue, Koregaon Park. And third accused Vivek is from Popular Heights, Burning Ghat Road, Koregaon Park.
Police Investigation : Lonavala Farmhouse and Stock Market Scam
According to the police, the accused gained the complainant’s trust. They maintained the friendly relation with complainant. They promised to help him buy land in Lonavala and assured him of high returns from stock market investments.
Over the time, the complainant and his wife were convinced to give the accused ₹1.12 crore in multiple payments. However, the farmhouse land was never given to the complainant. Also neither the principal money nor any returns from the stock market were given back.
Apart from 1.12 crore, the three accused took the complainant’s car. Earlier they mentioned that they needed it for personal use, but never returned it. When the complainant asked for his money and land, he was allegedly threatened with false legal charges.
The Koregaon Park Police have filed a case under relevant sections. Police Sub-Inspector Deepak Jadhav will investigate the matter further.
