Woman Arrested by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police for Selling Marijuana
Pune : The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Crime Branch Unit 4, arrested a woman for selling marijuana that was hidden in her scooter. This happened on Monday morning at about 9:45 AM in the Mhatobanagar slum, near Dange Chowk to Datta Mandir Road.
The complaint is registered by Sub-Inspector Narayan Jadhav at Wakad Police Station. After the complaint, the police arretsted the woman. Her name is Geeta Mukesh Yadav, 34, and she is a resident of the Mhatobanagar slum.
Police Investigation : Marijuana Hidden in Scooter
The Crime Branch Unit 4 team and Wakad Police were doing the foot patrolling. At that tine when they got a tip about a woman selling marijuana by the roadside. They quickly reached to Perfect Bakers and Sweets and they saw a woman acting suspiciously near a parked Honda Activa scooter.
When the police searched her scooter, they found 1,976 grams of marijuana worth ₹98,800 hidden in the storage compartment. They also took a mobile phone worth ₹10,000 from her.
The investigation is being led by Sub-Inspector Atul Jadhav to find out more details about the case.
