Pune Cold Wave Update: NDA Hits 7.5°C and Shivajinagar 8.9°C, Residents Feel the Cold
Pune Cold Wave Update : Pune is experiencing a cold wave, with temperatures dropping to 7.5°C in the National Defence Academy (NDA) area and 8.9°C in Shivajinagar.
The India Meteorological Department says the cold weather will continue for the next 24 hours. There will be a small rise in temperature after two days.
Chilly Weather in Pune
For the past four days temperature decreased drastically. Places like NDA, Haveli, Malin, and Shivajinagar have seen temperatures between 6°C and 7°C. Other areas of Pune, including Pashan, Kothrud, Bavdhan and Aundh, have also been very cold, with temperatures dropping below 9°C in many spots.

Cold Wave Hits Maharashtra :
Temperatures have dropped across all Maharashtra. Places like Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha seeing lows of 5°C. Mahabaleshwar recorded 13.5°C, while Ahilyanagar in Pune district reached 5.6°C.
The India Meteorological Department says Pune will have clear skies starting December 20. There will some clouds in the afternoon. People should get ready for more cold weather in the coming days.
IMD also predicts a minimum temperature of around 9°C and a maximum of 29°C in Pune on Wednesday, December 18.
Doctors have advised people to be careful during this cold season. Also asked to take more precautions for those with breathing problems. Doctors recommend wearing masks in areas with high pollution. Also asked to avoid early morning fog to prevent health issues.
