Mohammad Nabi Makes History : Mohammad Nabi made history as he became the first player from Afghanistan to play 300 matches in international cricket. This happened during ongoing AFG vs ZIM series, when Mohammad Nabi played 1st T20 against ZIM on Dec 11,2024.
Mohammad Nabi made his debut as all rounder on April 19, 2009 against Scotland. On his debut match he made 58 runs in 64 balls smashing 3 fours and 3 sixes. Over the years, he become an integral part of the Afghanistan national cricket team. So far Mohammad Nabi played 167 ODIs, 130 T20Is and 3 Test matches. Afghanistan Cricket Board has tweeted about Nabi’s achievement.

Mohammad Nabi Captaincy (2013–2015) :
He lead the Afghanistan cricket team from March 2013 to April 2015. Under his captaincy, Afghanistan won the 2014 Asia Cup, their first ever big ODI tournament
Under Nabi captaincy, Afghanistan played the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2015 Cricket World Cup. But because of poor form, they Won only one match in the World Cup, he resigned as captain in April 2015.
